Hacking Cooper Union

During college, I was able to directly access my school's alumni database. Allegedly, I had done this by misleading my schools administration into thinking I had graduated.

After getting access, I data mined all alumni metadata, enriched said metadata with linkedins, emails, githubs, socials, etc. and sold these alumni records to fellow students for job recruitment purposes.

I used the schools email system to mass solicit my product, sending several thousand automated emails, getting dozens of students sign up, pay and get quality internships for that upcoming summer.

Eventually administration found out, sent me a cease and desist letter, and nearly suspended me when I wouldn't stop. Then I stopped. Peak $1k MRR.
